Looking at the WHOIS record, I registered this domain on 2004-04-17. I'm pretty sure this was the first site I ever registered. The story is that I went by Alex instead of Sasha from 1992 to about 2004. I came across a lot of Russian speaking men named Alex working in IT and thought it would be clever to have my email be sasha@theotheralex.com, to sort of answer the question "Are you the Alex so and so" with "I'm Sasha, the other Alex".
